Project Overview.

SpiceKlub is a fine-dining restaurant in Chennai conceived within a compact footprint. The design responds to spatial constraints with clarity and restraint, creating an environment that feels composed, refined, and intentionally balanced.

Design Intent.

The guiding principle was harmony. The interiors were envisioned to complement the brand’s identity without overpowering it — allowing the cuisine and dining ritual to remain the focal experience. Every element is calibrated to feel effortless rather than expressive.

Spatial Planning.

Given the limited dimensions, circulation and seating were meticulously planned to maintain openness. Linear layouts, aligned furniture clusters, and controlled sightlines ensure the space feels elongated and breathable rather than compressed.

Material Palette.

A warm interplay of timber, muted upholstery, and dark metallic accents establishes understated sophistication. The chevron-patterned flooring subtly guides movement, while textured partitions introduce rhythm without visual heaviness.

Lighting Strategy.

Lighting was designed to enhance mood and depth. Suspended filament fixtures and soft ambient backlighting create intimacy at table level, while feature walls and display niches are gently illuminated to add dimension and warmth.

Visual Harmony.

Art installations and wall compositions add character without clutter. The balance between solid surfaces and open frameworks ensures visual equilibrium — echoing the restaurant’s philosophy of blending tradition with innovation.
