Layered Form.
The residence is composed of stacked horizontal volumes that create deep overhangs and recessed terraces. This layering adds depth to the façade while naturally shading the interiors from Chennai’s harsh sun.
Responsive Façade.
Timber louvers and extended slabs act as passive design elements, reducing heat gain and ensuring privacy. The filtered light creates a dynamic play of shadow across the elevation throughout the day.

Material Contrast.
A refined palette of exposed concrete, textured cladding, and warm wood screens establishes a balance between solidity and warmth. The material layering enhances both visual rhythm and tactile richness.
Vertical Integration.
Terrace planters, balcony greens, and a central tree element integrate landscape into the built mass. This vertical greenery softens the architecture and strengthens the home’s connection to its surroundings.
