Architectural Context.
Set within the lush landscape of the resort, Origin retains the charm of traditional sloping tiled roofs while introducing contemporary glazing and clean structural lines. The design respects its tropical setting, allowing the surrounding greenery to frame and define the built form.
Design Concept.
The space is envisioned as a refined yet relaxed retreat — blending nostalgia with modern hospitality. Classic elements are reinterpreted through bold material choices and curated detailing, creating a bar that feels both timeless and current.
Material Palette.
Black-and-white checkerboard flooring establishes a vintage foundation, complemented by rich wood-panelled walls and woven bistro chairs. The interplay of textures enhances depth while maintaining a cohesive, warm identity.
Lighting & Detailing.
Oversized custom raw silk light installations cast a soft amber glow, elevating the ambience with warmth and intimacy. A polished gold-finish bar counter becomes the focal point, subtly reflecting the surrounding tones and textures.
Indoor–Outdoor Dialogue.
Large openings, indoor greens, and a vibrant wall mural visually extend the interiors into the landscape. The design dissolves boundaries, allowing the breezy, lush character of the resort to flow seamlessly into the bar experience.
