Project Overview.

Big Pitcher – Sarjapur, Bangalore is conceived as a monumental restobar that merges bold architectural expression with experiential design. The intent was to create a landmark space — visually striking, spatially dynamic, and memorable from the moment of arrival.

Concept & Spatial Strategy.

The design is rooted in fundamental architectural principles — forming a large volumetric shell and strategically carving it into multiple staggered floor plates. These irregular levels generate visual drama while encouraging exploration. The interconnected staircases choreograph movement vertically, transforming circulation into a spatial experience.

Structural Design.

The exposed structural framework becomes the primary aesthetic language. Sharp-edged slabs, bold columns, and the rhythmic red steel frame are not concealed but celebrated. The structure itself establishes order, repetition, and identity, making it both functional and sculptural.

Materiality & Atmosphere.

A dominant red steel framework is contrasted with black mesh railings, warm amber lighting, and lush cascading greenery. Industrial elements are softened through planting and warm-toned fixtures, balancing robustness with vibrancy. The open configuration enhances light, ventilation, and visual connectivity across levels.

Identity.

The multi-level openness fosters energy and interaction, while the dramatic vertical volume creates a sense of grandeur. The result is a space that feels dynamic, iconic, and unmistakably unique.

Experience.

Big Pitcher delivers a bold, immersive environment defined by scale, movement, and visual layering.
